My piano lessons have Fall and Spring semesters, with Summer lessons also possible.

Fall 2025 Semester is September 8, 2025 - January 30, 2026.

Fall 2025 Semester includes 18 Private Lessons, 4 Piano Performance classes, and 1 Recital. Lessons of 60 minutes, tuition is $1880. Lessons of 45 minutes, tuition is $1430. If a student starts midsemetser, the tuition will be adjusted for the semester’s remaining lessons.

Books and sheet music are chosen according to a student’s interests and needs, and paid for by the student as necessary.

With a day notice, a student’s absence from one lesson is eligible for a make-up. Should a lesson be cancelled due to the teacher’s absence, a make-up will be offered.

Prior to the first lesson, an initial meeting is scheduled. If the prospective student is under 18, one or both parents attend the meeting with the student. For students under 18, parents are always welcome to attend lessons.

Piano Performance classes are about helping my students create musical community and develop a camaraderie that will inspire their daily practice. Students are invited to play works-in-progress for their peers. These performances aid in calming nerves, and naturally motivate both the performer and their listening peers. The performer might speak to what inspires them about their piece, or how they are overcoming difficulties in the piece. This fosters a deeper understanding of their music and an ability to share that. Piano Performance classes are attended only by students and teacher.

Recital is a celebration of the students’ musical growth that semester. Each student might play one or more pieces. Families are encouraged to attend, and a potluck follows the recital. It’s a lot of fun!
